01011001 is the seventh studio album by Arjen Anthony Lucassen's long-running Ayreon project. "01011001" is the binary form of the number 89, which is the ASCII code for the letter Y. 01011001 's plot is tied to the "Planet Y" and "Forever of the Stars" storyline developed in the albums Into the Electric Castle, Universal Migrator and The Human Equation. 17 singers in total (including Arjen himself) contribute to the album. Of these, only Anneke van Giersbergen, Floor Jansen, and Arjen himself have sung on previous Ayreon albums: Anneke on Into the Electric Castle, Floor singing backing vocals on The Dream Sequencer, and Arjen on every Ayreon album, except Flight of the Migrator.

Carlos Libedinsky

Carlos Libedinsky is an Argentine musician, composer and producer. He is most renowned for his neo-tango project, Narcotango.

Before tango, Libedinsky transited through different genres, such as rock, pop, blues, medieval and renaissance music. In 1992, he founded the duet Los Mareados, where he was also a composer.

Since 1986, he is the director of Tademus, a music school in Buenos Aires. As Narcotango, he made European tours in 2003, 2005 and 2007.

Bajonfondo Tango Club

Bajofondo is a South American music band consisting of eight musicians from Argentina and Uruguay. The band, which refers to itself as a "collective of composers, singers and artists", was formerly called "Bajofondo Tango Club", but shortened the name to "Bajofondo" after they felt their style had broadened, as was announced on their live concert in Berlin in April 2008.

Often compared to Gotan Project, their earlier music had blended acoustic tango and electronic music, part of an evolving tango genre which is known as "Electrotango" or "Tango Fusion", which brought tango back into the mainstream. Besides the aforementioned mixture of tango and electronica, the band is innovative form of DNB, house music, chill out and trip-hop. Their first record, Bajofondo Tango Club, was launched in 2002 with great success, with a second lone project from pianist/DJ/composer Luciano Supervielle greeted warmly by reviewers in late 2005. More recent music from their third album, Mar Dulce, is a fusion of Latin Alternative with contemporary music forms along the Río de la Plata at the border of Argentina and Uruguay.

IAMX (I am X) is the solo musical project of Chris Corner. Corner has repeatedly said that IAMX is very different from his actual, real-life personality and is a kind of quasi "act". Whether an act or not, IAMX's music is primarily concerned with subjects such as outlandish sex, death, narcotic intoxication, bisexuality, decadence, obsession, alienation and vague allusions to politics. Corner currently lives in Berlin where he has found "the spirit to care less about the music industry and take an independent route."
